Steven Spielberg, Dustin Hoffman, Jennifer Lawrence among stars attending the Installation Luncheon

STEVEN SPIELBERG, DUSTIN HOFFMAN, JENNIFER LAWRENCE, JACK BLACK, JOHN TRAVOLTA and KERRY WASHINGTON are among the stars attending the upcoming Installation Luncheon, when the new officers and directors of the HFPA will be announced and grants to non-profit entertainment related organizations and scholarship programs will be presented. The HFPA donated over $ 1.5 million in grants at last year’s event.

Steven Spielberg, a 10-time Golden Globe nominee, with two Globes and one Cecil B. deMille award in his collection, is putting the final touches in his new film, Lincoln, starring Daniel Day Lewis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.  Dustin Hoffman, a five-time Golden Globe winner and recipient of a Cecil B. deMille award, will next be seen in the mystery drama The Contortionist’s Handbook, currently in pre-production.

The Hunger Games’ own Katniss Everdeen, Golden Globe nominee Jennifer Lawrence will soon be seen in Catching Fire, the second installment of the Games saga, and in director Susanne Bier’s period drama Serena. Kung Fu Panda’s human counterpart Jack Black, a Golden Globe nominee for School of Rock, is currently working on screenwriter Charlie Kaufman’s second project as a director, Frank and Francis. Two-time Golden Globe winner John Travolta will next be seen in the action thriller Killing Season. Kerry Washington is the star of Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated picture Django Unchained.

The HFPA Installation Luncheon will take place on Thursday, August 9, at the Beverly Hills Hotel, in Beverly Hills, California.
