A few days after her fiftieth birthday, Courtney Love stopped by the HFPA office for one of our occasional round-tables. In a wide-ranging, hour-long confessional interview, at times heartfelt and exhilarating, the doyenne of Alt Rock talked to us about life, music and movies, about her life-long struggle with dependency and how she feels she is finally on the winning side, about conquering her demons and healing and her renewed relationship to her once estranged 22 year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Love is playing music (the video is of her last recording: You Know My Name), thinking of a Hole reunion and tour, writing a book and beginning work on a long-awaited biopic of Kurt Cobain. All that plus a return to acting (she did Syd and Nancy and Straight to Hell for Alex Cox, Man on The Moon and People Vs. Larry Flynt with Milos Forman which earned her a Golden Globe nomination in 1997). Her next role will be a recurring one on the next season of Sons of Anarchy. Check our exclusive video interview.
