MILESTONES:
After an extensive theatre career, Dame Helen Mirren starred in a string of memorable films, including: CALIGULA (1980), EXCALIBUR (1981), CAL (1984) WHITE KNIGHTS (1985), MOSQUITO COAST (1986) and THE COOK, THE THIEF, HIS WIFE AND HER LOVER (1989). Mirren then landed the role that propelled her to an international film career as Detective Jane Tennison in PRIME SUSPECT (1991), which spawned seven TV movies. In 2007 she was nominated for three Golden Globes in: ELIZABETH I, THE QUEEN and PRIME SUSPECT: THE FINAL ACT. Recent films include: THE LAST STATION (2009), RED (2010), HITCHCOCK (2012) and RED 2 (2013)
