Natalie Portman (born Neta-Lee Hershlag June 9, 1981 in Jerusalem, Israel) had her first movie role as a teenager in Léon: The Professional (1994) by Luc Besson with Jean Reno. She acted with Timothy Hutton in Beautiful Girls (1996) by Ted Demme, with Susan Sarandon in Anywhere but Here (1999), was directed by Woody Allen in Everyone Says I Love You (1996).

 

She was Queen Padmé Amidala in the Star Wars prequels directed by George Lucas: The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005). She acted in Cold Mountain (2003) directed by Anthony Minghella from the 1997 novel by Charles Frazier, Garden State (2004) by Zach Braff.

 

She starred in V for Vendetta (2006) written by Andy and Larry Wachowski, with Scarlett Johansson in The Other Boleyn Girl (2008) directed by Justin Chadwick from the 2001 novel by Philippa Gregory, Black Swan (2010) by Darren Aronofsky. She played Jacqueline Kennedy in Jackie (2016) by Pablo Larraín, astronaut Lisa Nowak in Lucy in the Sky (2019). Portman played Jane Foster with Chris Hemsworth in Marvel Comics Thor (2011) directed by Kenneth Branagh and Thor: The Dark World (2013), Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) by Taika Waititi, and starred with Julianne Moore in May December (2023) directed by Todd Haynes.
