More than a hundred films were submitted for consideration for the 2023 Golden Globe Awards’ Non-English Language Film (NELF) field.
These are entries to the category, renamed Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language (formerly Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language). It’s one of the major changes that took effect last year, including the revision that NELF entries may qualify for the Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy awards if they meet the eligibility requirements for those awards (i.e., release in the Los Angeles area during the relevant eligibility period).
