GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS MOBILE WEBSITE LAUNCHED

HOLLYWOOD, CA, December 15, 2008The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has launched the mobile website for “The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards” –  m.hfpa.org that can be accessed by internet enabled mobile phones.
The site contains:

·         Golden Globe Award Winners
·         Golden Globe Award News
·         Golden Globe Award Data Search
"To make sure that we are in tune with the age of instant information access, we have made our website available for the mobile world,” says Erkki "Erik" Kanto, Director of Information Technology for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. “The internet is becoming a more and more important source for news, information and entertainment. People of all ages, when not at their computers, are using numerous types of mobile devices."
Kanto added that on December 11, the day of the 66th Annual Golden Globe
Award Nominations, the top searched phrase on Google worldwide was "Golden Globes."
“Over the last few years, the traffic at our official website, hfpa.org, has
grown immensely,” said Kanto. “
All content on our mobile website is updated in real time with the main website www.hfpa.org.”
“The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards” will be seen in more than 150 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements.
“The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards” will take place Sunday, January 11, 2009 at The Beverly Hilton with a live telecast airing on NBC at 8 PM (EST) and produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Jorge Camara is President of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. Orly Adelson, president of dcp and Barry Adelman will executive produce. Chris Donovan is the director and dcp’s Bob Bardo is the executive in charge of production.
