HFPA Supports Hospital Charity Viewing Parties

SJ-color-banner

The HFPA will once again be supporting Golden Globe viewing parties organised by St Jude Children's Research Hospital to raise funds for the hospital. Last year the Golden Globe viewing party in Minneapolis raised about $200,000. This year there will also be parties in Chicago and Miami. At the inaugural Chicago viewing party to be held at the Trump International Hotel & Tower guests will enjoy a Hollywood-style red carpet reception, cocktail reception, live auction, dinner and live telecast of the show. The program will feature a St. Jude patient family sharing their personal journey. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other deadly diseases. St. Jude has the world’s best survival rates for the most aggressive childhood cancers, and treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent in the next decade. The hospital freely shares the breakthroughs it makes and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food because of charity fundraising events like the Golden Globes viewing party. ###
