Giuseppe Tornatore to Receive Golden Globe For Documentary in Partnership with Artemis Rising Foundation for ‘Brunello’

The Taormina Film Festival, in partnership with the Golden Globes and Artemis Rising Foundation, announced that Golden Globe-winning director Giuseppe Tornatore will receive the Golden Globes Prize for Documentary in partnership with Artemis Rising Foundation for his film Brunello: The Gracious Visionary, about entrepreneur Brunello Cucinelli, at the 72nd Taormina Film Festival, which will run June 10-14. The award ceremony will take place in the Ancient Theatre of Taormina.

Hend Sabry, Alia Bhatt Honored by the Golden Globes

The Golden Globes® announced that Tunisian actress Hend Sabry and Indian actress Alia Bhatt have been named this year’s recipients of the Omar Sharif Award and the Golden Globes Horizon Award, respectively, at a reception during the fifth edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival. “We are honored to present the Omar Sharif Award to Hend Sarby, a truly iconic performer and humanitarian whose body of work reflects the depth, power, and global impact of Arab cinema, while paying tribute to Omar’s remarkable legacy as a pioneering Egyptian artist,” said Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes.
