Doss started writing articles in Egypt in the 1950’s for Al Ahram Financial, a monthly financial and business magazine published by Al Ahram, the leading daily newspaper in the Middle East. He moved to the U.S in 1959, joined the HFPA and started writing about the entertainment industry for the weekly Egyptian newspaper Watani. As an HFPA member, he served for over 25 years as a member of the Board, chairman of the Board, vice president and president. He continues to write for Watani.
