Selin Gürel

Based in Istanbul, Turkey, Selin Gürel is a film critic with a BA in Sociology. She began her film criticism career in 2002 and has since written periodically in numerous publications, both printed and digital. She has been a member of the Turkish Film Critics Association and FIPRESCI since 2007. She has been a regular attendee of the Toronto Film Festival as accredited media for the last 12 years and has also been working as a subtitle translator for various streaming platforms.
