Georges Delerue

Georges Delerue (born March 12, 1925, Roubaix, France; died March 20, 1992, in Los Angeles) composed scores for hundreds of film and TV projects, first in his native France, then also in Hollywood. In France, he worked with Alain Resnais (Hiroshima Mon Amour, 1959), Francois Truffaut (Jules et Jim, 1962), Jean-Luc Godard (Contempt, 1963) plus Bertrand Blier, Philippe De Broca and Louis Malle, as well as English-language directors such as Jack Clayton, George Cukor, Norman Jewison, Ken Russell, Mike Nichols, Oliver Stone, Fred Zinnemann.
