Quincy Jones (born in Chicago, Illinois, March 14, 1933), a legendary musician winner of 28 Grammys, wrote original songs for movies like “The Time For Love Is Anytime” for Cactus Flower (1969) and also the film score.  He composed the score for movies like The Pawnbroker (1964) by Sidney Lumet, In the Heat of the Night (1967) by Norman Jewison, In Cold Blood (1967) written and directed by Richard Brooks from the 1966 novel by Truman Capote, Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice (1969) by Paul Mazursky, John and Mary (1969) by Peter Yeats, The Getaway (1972) by Sam Peckinpah. Jones produced The Color Purple (1985) directed by Steven Spielberg and composed the score.
