Ron Howard’s “Inferno”

Ron Howard and serial collaborator Tom Hanks return to familiar territory with Inferno, the third adaptation of a Robert Langdon novel by Dan Brown. Like the previous The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, the story follows the adventurous Harvard philologist on a thrilling treasure hunt halfway across the world in a quest to prevent bacteriological apocalypse. A race against time in which hidden codes from the Italian classics – in this case Dante’s famous poem – play a crucial role. We spoke to Howard about going back to the character and working with Hanks in Venice, Florence and Istanbul.
