Spider-Man: Homecoming, Sony’s second reboot of the Marvel franchise starring Stan Lee’s teenage superhero, is the sixth Spidey film in fifteen years and finds Tom Holland following in the footsteps of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. Following Captain America: Civil War, this iteration, directed by Jon Watts, follows young Spidey’s dealings with Tony Stark as a rookie Avengers prospect. Holland who started as a hip-hop dancer, came to fame as Billy Elliot and impressed in JA Bayona’s The Impossible, is now the second Brit to don the suit. The film also stars rapidly rising actress Zendaya. The HFPA’s Ting Ting Xu spoke to both young stars.
