Amy Adams, Arrival – Nominee, Best Performance By An Actress, Motion Picture-Drama

 In Denis Villeneuve’s existential sci-fi feature, Amy Adams plays Louise Brooks, a linguist recruited by the military to facilitate a dialogue with aliens. “It was really one of the best scripts I read”, Adams told us. “It had such an amazing heart and soul to it, and on top of that all those sci-fi elements which were also so interesting and intriguing.” Adams, a sci-fi  fan – “ET and Starman, which I grew uo with and I loved”- has been nominated six times for a Golden Globe, and won twice, both in the category Best Performance By An Actress, Motion Picture Comedy/Musical: in 2014 for American Hustle and in 2015 for Big Eyes.
