Danny Huston

Daniel Sallis Huston (born in Rome, Italy, May 14, 1962) is the son of director John Huston and British actress Zoe Sallis. He worked as his father’s assistant on Under the Volcano (1984) and as second unit director on The Dead (1987), the last movie John Huston directed. He made his feature film debut directing Mr. North (1988) with a script written by John Huston, from the 1973 novel Theophilus North by Thornton Wilder, directed The Maddening (1995) with Burt Reynolds. He acted in movies like Ivans xtc. (2002) by Bernard Rose, Birth (2004) with Nicole Kidman, The Aviator (2004) by Martin Scorsese, The Constant Gardener (2005) by Fernando Meirelles, Marie Antoinette (2006) by Sofia Coppola, Big Eyes (2014) by Tim Burton, Wonder Woman (2017) by Patty Jenkins starring Gal Gadot. He played Orson Welles in Fade to Black (2006) by Oliver Parker, King Richard the Lionheart in Robin Hood (2010) directed by Ridley Scott starring Russell Crowe, producer Hal Roach in Stan & Ollie (2018).


On television Huston acted in the drama series Magic City (2013), Masters of Sex (2014), Yellowstone (2018-2019), Succession (2019).
